4. For Renters and Property Seekers

  • Inquiries must be genuine and made in good faith
  • You must not misrepresent your identity or intentions
  • Communication with landlords should be respectful and professional
  • Any agreements made are between you and the property owner

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation
  • Harvest or collect user information without consent
  • Post spam, viruses, or malicious code
  • Impersonate any person or entity

6. Payment and Fees

  • Basic property search is free for all users
  • Landlords may be subject to fees for premium listings, boosted visibility, or messaging automations
  • All fees are clearly stated before purchase
  • Payment processing is handled securely through third-party providers

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Pendelea is a platform that connects property owners with potential renters. We do not:

  • Guarantee the accuracy of listings
  • Act as a landlord, tenant, or real estate agent
  • Participate in or mediate disputes between users
  • Verify the identity or background of users (though we encourage users to do so)

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

Pendelea shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Pendelea or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.

Users retain ownership of content they post, but grant Pendelea a license to use, display, and distribute such content on the platform.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be governed by the laws of Kenya and resolved through arbitration or the courts of Nairobi.
